Back acne is a problem among people with oily skin and those suffering from dandruff. Back acne can be quite as embarrassing as facial acne. If you have back acne you are restricted in the choice of clothes that you would like to wear. This can be especially distressing for young teenage girls.

Like facial acne, back acne is also caused due to clogging of skin pores. In case of back acne the pores are clogged with sebum (oil produced by the glands present in the skin), sweat and dead skin cells. The main reason for back acne is not maintaining proper hygiene; it can be difficult to clean the back properly so some people skip this step altogether by simply pouring water on their backs. Water is not enough to clean your skin. Just like the rest of the parts of your body, the skin on your back too requires proper cleansing.

Back acne is curable though it takes time; you must wait for at least six months to see your back absolutely clean and blemish free. Once your back is rid of acne it is important that you maintain a regular cleansing routine for the skin on the back to prevent any future outbreaks of acne.

In this section we will deal with taking care of acne with homemade organic products. Organic treatment for acne is not only effective but isn’t expensive as well.

Ask your friend or partner to apply an even layer of the turmeric paste all over your back even covering the skin which doesn’t have acne. Make some more paste if the quantity isn’t enough to cover your entire back. Allow the paste to dry completely. Take a bath towel and use it to dust the dried paste from your back. This will leave your back yellow in color.

Do the turmeric paste treatment for back acne every night before going to bed. This will allow the turmeric to work its antiseptic properties on the acne for a longer time. In the morning scrub the yellowish tinge of the turmeric using loofah and water. The turmeric paste treatment should be used for at least a couple of months. This treatment will not only remove the acne from the back but also prevent them from leaving any scars behind.

Warm the oatmeal powder and cream mixture in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Wet you back properly with lukewarm water. This will open the pores of your skin. Take help of another person to scrub your back with the oatmeal scrub. If you don’t have any help then take a long handled brush with a loofah attached in the front.

Apply the oatmeal scrub on the loofah and use this to exfoliate your back. Massage the back for at least 7-10 minutes taking care to cover the entire skin on the back. After the exfoliation wash the back using lukewarm water. Dry the back using a soft towel and apply talc to soothe the irritated skin.

Oatmeal scrub should be used for exfoliating the back every alternate day.
