Home Remedy For Treating Celiac Disease

Celiac disease is medically termed as Gluten Enteropathy or Nontropical Sprue. The condition arises because the small intestine becomes allergic to gluten that is a form of protein found mainly in wheat, barley grains, rye and their by products. In celiac disease the intestine is unable to absorb nutrients present in the food that we eat. These nutrients are important for maintaining a healthy body.

The main reason of gluten intolerance is inadequate production of pancreatic enzymes in the pancreas. The result is that the digestive system is unable to perform its function properly.

If the condition is not treated in time it results in excessive weight loss and even severe form of malnutrition in extreme cases. Celiac disease is common in infants and small children but can occur in adults as well. The main treatment for the condition involves eating a gluten free diet which considerably improves the overall health in a matter of few weeks.
